SUMMARY

The second annual Walk-a-thon, 2001 was once again a great success. A sum of $2000 was collected as donations, which will be handed over to the Hospital for Sick Children foundation.

APPEAL TO THE MEMBERSHIP FOR YOUR DONATIONS

The Jaffna Central College Alumni Association of Canada, in its Humanitarian Assistance Programme with its objective to help the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, conducted its First ever Walk-A-Thon 2000 at Morningside Park, Scarborough, on the Historic Canada Day July 01, 2000.

Over 100 of our Members, their families supported by our sister College friends from Vembadi took part in our maiden Walk-A-Thon 2000, which culminated in total collection of $ 3,100.00.

OUR SECOND WALK-A-THON IS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY JUNE 30,
2001 AT SCARBOROUGH MORNINGSIDE PARK - AREA 5 ( Morningside andEllesmere ) at 9.30 A.M.

This will be followed by our Annual Central / Vembadi Joint Picnic at the same venue from 10.30 A.M.
All Old Centralites, their Families and Friends are invited to Join this Second Walk-A-Thon 2001. Please rally round your Alumni Association
And demonstrate your care and concern and the gracious sharing of the resources to help the needy and the suffering people, especially our future generation, the children.

Kindly Join the Walk-A-Thon and handover your Pledge Forms on this day or if for any unavoidable reasons you are unable to be present, we shall very much appreciate if you could please forward your Pledge Forms with your Donations, to one of the undersigned, at the earliest.

Following the Walk-A-Thon, please join the Annual Joint Picnic.
